The Knitting Room is excited to help you with your spring cleaning! Bring in your unused skeins of yarn and receive a credit of $1.00 per skein (up to 20 skeins!) toward your purchase of yarn that day. What could be better -- get rid of your stash (which we will donate to worthy organizations) and save a bundle on a new stash!

NEW PRODUCTS AT THE KNITTING ROOM
We're excited to be offering some new handmade items from SHAUNE BAZNER. She is the designer of the beautiful shawl and sweater pins we've featured for the past several months. We now carry her beaded lariat necklaces AND, for all you farsighted folks, we have PEEPER KEEPERS! They are smart and contemporary AND, above all, functional. Stop in and try one on!
Another new product is our handmade TWIG SOAP. A local artist creates these wonderful soaps in the most true-to-life fragrances you'll ever encounter. My favorite is the Crisp Apple -- you can almost taste it! These soaps are a great accompaniment to a handknitted washcloth made from our LOUET EUROFLAX. Stop in and check out our samples and our washcloth patterns. A perfect gift!!

NEW FOR FALL!
Sue and Ann had SO MUCH FUN buying yarn for fall at the Columbus market, and you will be able to see what they bought soon! Delivery will begin in July and continue through September. New deliveries mean yarn will also be moving in to the sale area, so stop in frequently to see what's there. Here are highlights of what you'll be seeing in the fall:
-- We ordered a wide color range of Nashua's JULIA, which is a wool-mohair-alpaca blend that is VERY soft. It is worked at 5 stitches to the inch and is lovely felted. Kristin Nicholas designed the colors, so you know they are great.
-- Jil Eaton's premier yarn, available from Classic Elite, also has a broad color range and is knitted at 4 1/2 stitches per inch. It is a single ply machine washable wool with a little cashmere in it. She has a new children's pattern book coming out and is re-issuing MINNOWKNITS!
-- Some beaded yarns from Tilli Thomas are coming in, including one that felts!
-- Speaking of felting, this year we saw a number of garments that are lightly felted, including a hoodie for adults as well as children. You will see those patterns soon.
-- A new baby yarn is coming from K1C2 called BABY BOO. You may have guessed that it has bamboo in it. It also has nylon. There are tons of colors, and it is a DK weight.
-- Needle felting kits for darling animals will arrive soon, and a workshop will be scheduled to learn this technique.
-- VIVIAN HOXBRO will be sending some felted scarf kits with fun bright colors.
-- FLAT FEET is an extremely fun way to make socks! A piece of machine knitted sock yarn is tie-dyed in fun colors, and the sock is knitted by unraveling the tie-dyed piece! Very fun!
-- We'll have new bags, including lots of small project bags.
Rev up your knitting engines to complete your current project so you can pick out something brand new to start!

We have recently learned that there may not be enough of the silk yarn in the kit to complete the scarf. If you are or think you may be in this predicament, PLEASE give us a call so that we may remedy the situation. We do not want any unhappy knitters!!

These are just two of the adorable pups who call The Knitting Room their home away from home. On the left is Bert, a Havanese who comes to knit with his mother, Sindy Levine, on Tuesday mornings. On the right is Vinnie, Kathy Antonini's pride and joy (he's almost as big as she is!). We'll continue to feature more of our knitting buddies in the weeks to come.
